Below is some of the equipment we might use during an investigation.   The Ozarks Paranormal Society strongly adheres to the premise that the scientific aspect of our paranormal investigations are of primary importance to our clients.  Providing cold, hard, data and evidence of scientific anomalies at client locations is our main objective during our investigations.  We have a deep respect for the insight that comes from our highly qualified psychic/sensitive team members, but we strive to work with a strict adherence to the ideology that "the psychic validates the science".  One of the more impressive aspects of The Ozarks Paranormal Society is that all members, no matter what their speciality, are fully engrossed in this philosophy.

Motion Sensors

  • Infrared motion detectors work on the same principle. If the amount of IR radiation striking the sensor changes, an alarm can be activated. Such a change is caused by a sudden change in temperature within the detector\'s field of view, or a significant movement by an object with a visible IR signature. A ghostly cold spot moving within a room could not be detected, unless it also cooled the walls or floors enough to trip the activation threshold.
