Dave Harkins

I am Dave Harkins, founder and Director of The Ozarks Paranormal Society (T.O.P.S). I have been active in paranormal research for all of my adult life. I have had many different paranormal experiences since childhood and have been actively seeking answers since my early teens. In 1980, some friends of mine and myself started a Metaphysical Occult bookstore in Fresno California, which is still in business today. Through association with the store I encountered many people who were touched by paranormal events in their lives. Through my interest in the occult and the paranormal as well as meeting these people it was only natural for me to investigate many of their claims. So my journey into paranormal investigation began. Since moving to Missouri in 1985 I have investigated many paranormal places and happenings in and around the Ozarks. Several years back I met others in the area that had the same interests in the paranormal as myself. So, In 1997 we started a group called Ozark Mountains Ghost Hunters which was around for many years, but with many of the group moving away I was back to the solo thing for several years. In 2006 after meeting more folks in the area with a strong lure to the paranormal field The Ozarks Paranormal Society (T.O.P.S) was founded.

Bud Steed

My name is Bud Steed and I am a photographer and writer from the Springfield Missouri area. My interest in the paranormal developed at an early age; most significantly and most powerfully when my maternal grandmother, who raised me, passed away while I was 10 years old. I remember I was sitting in class and I just had an overwhelming feeling of sadness come over me and I knew right then that she had passed. I was, of course visibly upset and told my teacher that I had to go home, that grandma had just died. She gave me the strangest look and tried to get me to calm down. A few moments later the principal showed up at class with my grandpa who took one look at me and knew that I already knew. Needless to say, when I returned to school after the funeral the teacher took a bit to warm back up to me and the rest of the kids were a bit standoffish, but eventually things returned to normal. Things of that nature continued my entire life; me knowing things that I shouldn’t and having no way to explain it. Am I psychic? No, not at all; I simply seem to be “sensitive” for lack of a better word, to things that I can’t see. When my oldest daughter passed away in a car accident 9 days before her 17th birthday, things started to get more pronounced. That’s when I decided to really start researching the paranormal, concentrating exclusively on spirits, both good and bad, and life after death. I have had some interesting experiences since my decision and my involvement with TOPS has expanded my investigative and research capabilities and exposed me to a wide variety of learning situations that I might not have been able to experience otherwise. With so many paranormal groups “springing up” due to the proliferation of reality shows and everyone looking for the next thrill ride or TV deal, I was extremely blessed to have made contact with TOPS. Dave Harkins and the entire TOPS team are dedicated to helping people understand, deal with and get relief from paranormal occurrences and to help people once again feel safe in their own homes.

Tonya Paine Mulitalo

I joined T.O.P.S. in June of 2010 just in time for the "battle of Dug Springs" investigation and my experiences on that night were just amazing to say the least! I have had quite a few paranormal experiences throughtout my life, starting with seeing a full bodied apparition materialise and then disappear in a puff of white smoke at the age of 7 .... I have been alone in a room and had things disappear & reappear and I have had the pleasure of being "slimed" ... at the time likened it to being spit on and to put it mildly it made me very angry ... threats were made, something in the area of "I dont care what you are if you (explative deleted) spit on me again there is going to be some TROUBLE!! I am very sensitive where things of that nature are concerned and very intuitive towards others but I am also very hard to fool and am just as into the science as I am into the paranormal ... I want to be able to say without a doubt when I see or feel something that it is real and not just a feeling ... I feel truly blessed to be able to have the chance to work with this team they & we have some mindblowing catches and I am so ready for more!
